Chair Advisor
Jaymie Bromfield
Jaymie is a graduate of the Environmental Health and Epidemiology masters program at Emory University and a UGA alumnus. Jaymie frequently quotes her mom’s dedication as a high school teacher as her passion behind building EEA. She hopes that the organization can serve as a sustainable resource for teachers and students to turn to and build an equitable learning environment for all. In her free time, Jaymie loves finding new places to hike with her dog and trying out new coffee shops. She hopes to become a pediatric infectious disease specialist in the future!

Lana Smith
Lana is a third year undergraduate student at the University of Georgia. She is majoring in Mathematics and Biology with a minor in Art History, and hopes to attend medical school to become a surgeon. She has been tutoring for 7 years and is inspired to expand access to affordable tutoring for all students through EEA. She is passionate about being involved with service that directly works with people in the community, and she especially loves to work with children. In her free time, Lana likes to play tennis, cook new recipes, and spend time with friends.

Abigayle Hodorovich
Abby is a 2025 alumni of the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Cell Biology. She is currently in a gap year while she applies to Physician Assistant programs. She has served as a volunteer tutor for three years and volunteer mentor at after school programs for four years. She is passionate about equal access to education having grown up in an underperforming school district herself. In her free time, Abby likes to run, play pickleball, golf, and bake.

Finance Director
Alexander Will
Alex is a Transfer Pricing Tax Consultant at Deloitte and a recent graduate of the University of Georgia, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics with an emphasis on Business Analytics. Alex is dedicated to lifelong learning and deeply engaged with the Terry College of Business community. He holds certifications in Lean Six Sigma and Business Leadership, and is working on furthering his expertise through an MBA. In his free time, Alex enjoys exploring innovative business solutions and participating in leadership training activities.

Education Director
Imari Genias
Imari is an epidemiologist at DeKalb Public Health in Decatur, GA. She received her bachelor's degree in Biology from Duke University and her MPH in Global Epidemiology from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. At Equal Education Athens, she serves as the Education Director, managing tutor onboarding and tutor-student assignments, among other responsibilities. Imari served as a peer tutor throughout high school, undergrad and postgrad, so she personally understands the importance of tutoring. In addition to her role at Equal Education Athens, Imari is the Vice President of Learning and Development with Emory’s Atlanta Young Alumni Board. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and TV, listening to podcasts, and watching basketball.

Outreach Director
Ishika Dantuluri
.Ishika is an 2024 alumni of the University of Georgia with a bachelors in Cellular Biology and minors in Japanese and Linguistics among others. She matriculates into the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta class of 2029 and hopes to pursue a career in surgery. She has been involved in tutoring and education outreach for several years and is passionate about creating equitable learning environments through her work with Equal Education for Athens. Ishika is committed to service that empowers individuals through education and health literacy, particularly within underserved communities. In her free time, she enjoys crocheting plushies, practicing Kuchipudi dance, hiking with family, and reading books.

Alyse-Noel Hicks
Alyse-Noël Hicks is a Communications Coordinator at Oracle. She holds a Masters of Professional Studies in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University and a Masters of Science in Strategic Communications from the University of Maryland Global Campus. Alyse-Noël received her Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications with a Public Relations concentration, Marketing minor and Advertising certificate from the University of West Georgia. She joined EEA as she is passionate about education and making a difference in the community. In addition to EEA, Alyse-Noël coaches for Girls on the Run and Volo Kids, is involved with Junior League and is a Woman of Impact for Girls Inc. When she is not working or volunteering, Alyse-Noël likes to spend time with friends and family, binge watch TV and movies, read, shop and workout.
